Germany Wins Third Place in FIFA World Cup

Germany has recovered a little victory by getting third place in the FIFA World Cup 2006 on Saturday. The score ended at 3 - 1, leaving Portugal for fourth.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was the man of the match by becoming a last minute hero for the Germans, scoring two goals and one assisted by the opponents, Petit. His shots on goal were deadly and fast.

The disrespectable man of the game goes to Portugal's Ronaldo, who consistently cried wolf to the referrees for many matches so far, including this last one in Stuggart.

Overall it was a satisfying match, much better to watch than the previous German games where football lost its sense somewhat.

Let's hope it will be a blast at the finals between Italy and France.
